   Did I ever say it would? Of course not. But for me (on the track), the 750 is spot on (more controllable than liter bikes and much more torquey than 600s). I don’t race or do track events for a living, I do them for fun, and the 750 has always been more than enough to put a big smile on my face. And not just on the track, but on the road too. GSX-R750: best ever i4-750 ever made, period (that’s why other mfgrs stopped their lines, they could not keep up!) Cheers! Ben

   @benoitcaron Whatever. No way a 750 could hang with a 1000. I happen to own an 09 GSX-R1000 and the computer has 3 performance settings; A, B, and C. A is the most hp and fastest throttle response. Beat my buddies 07 GSXR750 on setting B. With 3 different performance settings, the 09 GSX-R1000 is the best of all 3 worlds.

    Is it hard or expensive to go single exhaust. Is it easy to install a fender eliminator. (license plate kit.) I’ll be getting a 11 or 12 next summer. Please help. Would I get tired of the power on a 750? I’ve got over 15,000 street miles under my belt, riding for 8+ years. I’ve ridden all the harleys (even owned one, YAWN), I’ve also ridden a honda f2 600 and a cbr 900 both fun. How do these suzook 1000′s compare to the cbr from 1996? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you. The CBR was a 900 from 1996. So I’m betting even a modern 600 would probly blow my mind. I think I like the idea of having more torque with the 1000. Probly more usable street power. again, thank you.

    929 fireblade vs a 2011 gixxer 1000? these two bikes are literally worlds apart. Even the 945 handling was much better than the 929… hard to replace exhaust? no, expensive? define expensive… will you get tired of the gixxer 750? If you found the 929 fun to ride, wait until you ride a gixxer 750… If you want to scrape knee pucks occasionally, go for the 750, if you want to highway cruise in 4th gear, get the 1000.
