    @dagnut No i am not 12 and i hold more value in cars than your entire lifetime ownership, not to mention properties cars i owned driven and so on. Have you driven R8? i have. Car is made in ’06 and it has single clutch r tronic gearbox, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it expect it gives you kick in the back upon gear change it does not have smoothness and performance as double clutch as all new models do these days. Fact R8 chosen over all other competition as words best performance car.

    @dagnut Little sad boy you obviously have no clue Audi and MB created cars, invented innovated the rest fallowed. 1968 Audi 100 what is today Audi A6 passat did not even exist than, you drive company car moron i owned 2009 a6 that i paid to near 90.000 k and sold it after 6 months same with my a4 a1 mb clk and kept only A3 as it is reliable easy around city and good over all, all those cars at the same time and now waiting for rs7 to come out now as that will be my car to own, sad fag go home.

    @StigRossi With racing, I mean as in road legal racing cars. The R10 was a Le Man car. I’m a big fan of Le man and support their development with sporty diesels, hoping that they too some day will sound awesome and have an equal power deliverance

    I’m glad they based the R8 GT from the V10, and not the V8.

    But why pay £140,000??? When for HALF the price, you get a Nissan GTR 2012 which is better looking, faster to 60 (2.9 seconds!) and overall and better at cornering?

    BTW, I was on the Audi UK site yesterday, and they said the R8 limited edition (33 coming to the UK) was based on the V8? It it a different car or what?

    Great video. It seems that what audi has done is create something very similar to the lp570-4 superleggera. Both are stripped down versions, while still being mildly civilized. I’d love to see a friendly comparo of these two v10 beasts

    @arashn89 idiot its not the number of horsepowers in a car that makes it a super car. Its the whole picture what makes it a supercar. And yes this car is a supercar. Besides Porsche is owned by vw and so is audi, if they wanted they could have taken Porsches super engines but they choose this one.

    Putting a Diesel into the R8 is utterly stupid. Who would spend that money on a sports-car that sounds like a tractor. People would consider it, but in the end disregard it as sounding too weird.
    No I do not hate Diesels, in fact theres a Audi Q5 3.0TDI and a VW Tourag V8 TDI in the drive way, but diesels still sounds like shit, and that’s the biggest reason you don’t hear about any racing diesels other than SUVs. Now can people stop this stupid discussion?

    @TheMegaCONARTIST What age are you 12? So where’s the review calling the R8 GT the best sports car ever made? The R8 is a FANTASTIC car no doubt, not even up for debate but this GT every review I’ve read has complained about the gearbox.
